Michigan seems like a dream to me now

I seem to have written myself into a corner. Luckily, Hermione is nothing if not persistent, and Remus tends not to have much luck standing up against her when what she's asking is kind of what he wants. Or, rather, he goes along mostly because it feels good and he wants to feel something, anything, quite desperately, even though he knows it's wrong. Of course, he also thinks they're totally getting away with it, but not this time, oh no.

Updated the site last night for the first time in a couple weeks. Actually, there's a whole lot of new stuff since I last posted here:

fic updates

Been a while, huh?

I've been productive, fic-wise (how unexpected. *snerk*), so here's a list:

The Night Is Young and We Have Umbrellas In Our Drinks | BtVS, post-Chosen | Xander/Willow/Oz | NC-17
The night is young and we have umbrellas in our drinks. Anything could happen.

beneath these dirty sheets | HP | H/R/Hr | NC-17Hermione doesn't let herself hope anymore.

Out of the Blue and Into the Black | HP | Harry, Lupin | PG
Out of the blue and into the black / They give you this, but you pay for that.

You Showed Me | HP | Remus/Sirius | R
"Here he was, hoping things would be different this time, when things were never different between him and Sirius."

And a wacky crossover! You know I love those:

The Ancient Curse of Bast | HP/West Wing | CJ Cregg/Bill Weasley (no, really) | PG
CJ is under the ancient curse of Bast. Luckily, there's a curse-breaker in the house.

In not-quite-final form I’ve got:

We Are Each Other | HP | Harry/Ron | R
"Nobody said you have to go alone."

Coffee and Cigarettes | HP | Sirius/Remus | Hard R
Sirius meets Remus for one last cup of coffee.

As always, feel free to let me know what you think.

let me tell you a story

Stories I've posted the past couple of weeks:

[zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance]
When he rides, he doesn’t think, he just is, and nothing else matters.
MWPP (James/Lily, Remus/Sirius implied) | G | 383 words

[Hide and Seek (The Help! Remix)]
Remus hides and Sirius seeks.
Remus/Sirius pre-slash | PG | 2170 words

[Stigmata]
We remember the time around scars, / they freeze irrelevant emotions / and divide us from present friends.
James/Lily, Remus/Sirius, Peter, Snape, Harry | PG-13 | 1973 words

[No Satisfaction]
Sirius can't get no satisfaction.
Remus/Sirius/(Hermione) | Hard R | 1170 words

[The Subject of Schoolgirl Fantasies]
Hermione has hidden depths, and Ginny is happy to plumb them, with a little help from Professor Lupin.
Remus/Ginny/Hermione | NC-17 | 3000 words.

Considering I was in the throes of crippling writerly self-doubt earlier in the week, I'm pretty happy with everything I've turned out.

The painting is "Boreas" by John William Waterhouse. Again, not a muse, but I like her. She suits the color scheme.

The quote is from Sir Philip Sidney.
